Fall referrals for evaluation for Hanover County Public Schools Gifted Education will be accepted between now and October 16. Elementary referrals will occur in January as well as an additional middle school referral window.
In order for a student to be considered for the Gifted Program, they must first be referred for evaluation. A referral can be initiated by:
- a parent
- a teacher
- a peer
- a community member
- by the student
To refer your middle school student (6-8) please send an email to your middle school gifted resource teacher (
Catherine Ciucci at OKMS) to begin the referral process. Online families, please contact your home school gifted resource teacher.
